Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur organized an online two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “The Art of Writing Research Papers” from 18th March 2023 to 19th March 2023. This programme was successfully conducted under the able guidance of Professor Prafulla Y. Agnihotri, Director, IIM Sirmaur.
Lecturers, faculty members and research scholars from India and abroad participated in this FDP. Dr. Devika Vashisht, FDP Programme Director, addressed gathering, followed by an opening address by Prof. Shashikant Srivastava, CMDP Chair. Dr. Alka Chadha, Dr. Sanja Samirana Pattnayak and Dr. Devika Vashisht, faculty members at IIM Sirmaur, were the resource persons.
FDP started on 18th March 2023 wherein the participants were subjected to different facets of writing, commencing with problem definition to sharing their published work in front of a larger audience. The participants learnt how to use and analyze data which would help them in their research work. The focus of this program in particular, was to acquaint the participants with the skills required to publish in reputed national and international journals.
FDP got successfully completed on 19th March 2023 followed by a formal vote of thanks given by the programme director. The participants appreciated the efforts of the resource persons and IIM Sirmaur for conducting this FDP and requested for more such FDPs in future.
