The health care industry is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by technological advancements, shifting demographics, and changing regulatory frameworks. To effectively navigate these complexities, health care organizations are recognizing the need for strong leadership capable of driving strategic initiatives and managing resources efficiently. In the post-pandemic era, where healthcare has become the most important factor concerning lives and livelihoods, the Centre for Healthcare Management and Innovation (CHMI) seeks to provide a platform for researchers, physicians, pharmacists, psychologists, executives, statisticians, economists and policymakers to share knowledge and innovation resulting in healthcare solutions. The activities under CHMI are designed for multidisciplinary research to benefit from the synergy between social scientists, executive managers and medical practitioners. CHMI aims to aid the health care and pharmaceutical industry by facilitating training and innovation so that these activities can lead to futuristic solutions and affordable quality health care for all.

The mission of CHMI is to conduct state-of-the-art research and conduct training activities for the next generation of health management leaders, who are committed to improving the health status of local and global communities. Further the centre strives to improve the health status of the communities we serve, including rural, underserved, and global populations through education, research, outreach, service, and creative partnerships. It will achieve this mission through:

Collaborating with communities, organizations, institutions, professionals, industry experts and respective Ministries.
Strengthen/improve the capacity building of health professionals and enhance through consultation, research, skill development and education
Training next generation Healthcare Professionals and skilling them Managerial concepts /pedagogy
Conducting research in Public Health by addressing persisting issues in the society.
 

Objectives of CHMI
 

CHMI is being set up with the following objectives:
• To provide affordable solutions to improve the socio-economic status and quality of life of local communities.
• To promote indigenous growth and development of the region and the local communities through relevant research initiatives.
• To be socially responsible and engage in community outreach by organizing and participating in various activities.

Scope of CHMI:


      Management Education
        • One-year Program on Health Care Management
        • One Week Health Care Executive MDP in collaboration with AIIMS Bilaspur.
       • MDPs on Healthcare Analytics, Healthcare Operations, Hospital Administration, etc.
      Research on Health Outcomes
       • Diabetes Diet Management, an optimization study
       • Immunity & Nutrition, correlation, outcomes
       • TB & Nutrition coexistence and rehabilitation
       • Vitamin deficiencies and after-effects, an epidemiological study
   Outreach Activities through epidemiological and economic studies
       • Effect of Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical industry on the socio-economic status of a region
       • TB, Diabetes and Nutrition studies
       • Pregnancy, Nutrition & health outcomes
       • Socioeconomic / life style audit in the select geography
       • Effectiveness of various initiatives of Governments / NGOs
       • Health Economics and Quality Adjusted Life Year (QALY) in select geography

Our Programs


The centre is planning to start educational programmes include Long Duration Programmes (LDP) and Management Development
Programmes (MDP), besides other certificate programmes on healthcare management and hospital administration.

The programs as follows:

LDP on Healthcare Management:

The LDP is a year-long program to train the next generation of healthcare professionals, executives and administrators so as to make them next generation Leaders.


MDP on Healthcare Management and Hospital Administration:


The MDP is a short-duration week-long programme for providing public health education with a specific focus on developing essential management skills.
