Centre for Sustainability and Environmental Management conducted an internal workshop on solid waste management for housekeeping staff, gardeners, mess staff and security on 26th March,2021. In the session the participants were informed and sensitized about the difference between dry and wet waste for solid waste handling. The proposed workshop was conducted by Dr. Arpita Ghosh, Assistant Professor, Environmental Management and CSEM- Research Associates. IIM Sirmaur produces huge amount of waste on daily basis through hostel mess, academic block. As segregation at sources is important step for possible reuse and recycling of dry waste. . The purpose of the workshop was to sensitize the ground level workers (of institute) for efficient Solid Waste management practices.
