IIM SIRMAUR INAUGURATES AN OPEN THEATRE FOR STUDENTS
Paonta Sahib, October 15, 2018 - Indian Institute of Management, Sirmaur inaugurated an Open Air Theatre for students, the latest addition to the IIM Sirmaur facilities.
The auspicious day also marked the birth anniversary of the Missile Man of India, Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. To commemorate his memory, the Rangmanch Committee screened a documentary portraying his exemplary life. Next in line was a video by the CSR committee portraying the significance of waste segregation and how IIM Sirmaur is propelling the great initiative by raising awareness within and outside the campus and fostering waste segregation at source by installing waste collection bins across the length and breadth of the campus.
In her address, Prof. (Dr.) Neelu Rohmetra mentioned how the Open Air Theatre facility would serve as a platform for both recreational and educational activities for the students, blending the formal with the informal. This will enable everyone to engage in constructive entertainment. The address was followed by the screening of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at IIM Sirmaur. A short film on Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at IIM Sirmaur was also showcased.
