Biography

Dr. Narpat Ram Sangwa is working as an Assistant Professor in the Area of Operations and Supply Chain Management at IIM Sirmaur. Prior to this, he worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar under a joint research project with the University of Cambridge, UK, entitled “Transforming India's Green Revolution by Research and Empowerment for Sustainable food Supplies (TIGR2ESS)”.

Dr. Sangwa completed his Ph.D. from Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, India and also worked on Indo-German collaboration projects during this tenure. He is certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt professional. He has published various research papers in ABDC category journals such as Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management, The TQM Journal, Quality Management Journal, International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, etc.

His current research interests include lean manufacturing, lean six sigma, quality management, life cycle assessment, sustainability, and supply chain management.

  • Awarded Postdoctoral Fellowship by the United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI), UK from 22 February 2021 to 25 January 2022.
  • Awarded German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) fellowship for the research visit at Institute of Machine Tools and Production Technology, Technical University (TU), Braunschweig, Germany, December 2015 – January 2016.
  • Awarded NCC “C” Certificate by National Cadet Corps in 2009.
