Prof. Ashish Goel has completed his Masters and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

His teaching interests span areas like Strategies for Sustainable Business, Stakeholder Management, Public Private Partnership in Infrastructure, Systems Thinking, Procurement and Contracts Management Strategies in Project organizations, and Business Research Methods.

His Ph.D. research adopted a stakeholder management perspective to explore the integration of sustainability considerations in the management of temporary (project) organizations in the construction sector. His research work has been published in reputed journals including the Journal of Cleaner Production, Engineering, Construction and Architectural Management, International Journal of Managing Projects in Business, Smart and Sustainable Built Environment, and IIM Kozhikode Society and Management Review. Dr. Goel was awarded the IIT Madras Institute Research Award during Ph.D. for the quantity and quality of research publications.

Before moving to academia, Dr. Goel worked for over 7 years with one of India’s largest Engineering and Construction Organizations and was involved in the management of large turnkey industrial infrastructure projects in steel and power sector. Prior to joining IIM Sirmaur, he was associated with National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), Pune.
