IIM Sirmaur hosted Mr. Santosh Wakhloo, Vice President, JK Paper Ltd., who delivered a guest lecture on Leadership to the students of PGP04 batch. Mr. Wakhloo talked about the role of a leader in thinking big, planning big and creating differentiation. He then accentuated on the fact that the only way to predict the future is to create it and how vision combined with action can change the world. He emphasized on the importance of nurturing team and talents for employee engagement. Furthermore, he elaborated on having a shared vision in order for the team to see the direction in which they should move forward. He also challenged the common notion of having a plan B, as it dilutes the hunger to chase ones goals. The lecture concluded by him highlighting the relevance of having a customer focused vision and collaborating with them for innovation.
