Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur conducted a 3-day orientation program for the incoming batches of MBA08 and MBATHM03. The orientation was aimed at educating students about the pedagogy of IIM Sirmaur and giving them a headstart for their upcoming MBA journey. Under the guidance of Dr. Prafulla Agnihotri, Director, IIM Sirmaur, the orientation was conducted with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The first day began with an inaugural session of lamp lighting followed by a welcome address by the program chairpersons of the respective programs and Dr. Prafulla Agnihotri, Director, IIM Sirmaur. This was followed by know-your-faculty session and Anti-ragging and program details.
Day 2 began with a session from Mr. Tushar Dumbre, AVP, Aditya Birla Group, who educated students on various aspect of management life and industry. Following this was a workshop on Gender Sensitivity and POSH and a session on Workshop on Stress Management & Mindfulness by "The Art of Living". The day ended with part one of the case study session taken by Dr. Prafulla Agnihotri.
Day 3 continued the session on the case study by Director sir, followed by addresses from corporate and thought leaders Mr. Arun Malhotra (MD, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd.), Mr Hemant Gulati (GM, Airport Operations, IGI, New Delhi) and Dr. Kishor Chindam (Marketing Manager, Zimvie Dental). They shared their insights from their experiences and brought awareness about past and present industry trends, that were enlightening to the students.
