Safiul Alom completed his PhD from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, India, in the area of Operations Management. Safiul has twelve years of work experience in the production and supply chain. He has implemented project management theories such as TOC and CCPM in practice during his stint in the industry. He works in healthcare multichannel operations, fashion supply chain, and multichannel and omnichannel operations. His research article has appeared in Transportation Research Part E.

Optimizing the manufacturing process through business analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Some of the critical projects are: a) RFID implementation for tracking Man ( Safety) and material (accountability) in a metallic environment. Designed a Database and created a dashboard to get meaningful insights. b) 4-dimensional planning system using Synchro. c) Material wastage reduction using a linear programming model. One-dimensional cutting algorithm for cables. d) Predicting cycle time using regression. e) Calculate the minimum stock level using the Monte Carlo simulation.
Responsible for end-to-end project execution, including project planning, governance mechanisms, and monitoring processes.
Leading a team of 7-8 analysts from a partner company to deliver the project outcomes based on business requirements.
