Biography

Dr. Alekh Gour holds a Ph.D. from NIT Bhopal. He has done his graduation in Computer Science Engineering. He has more than ten years of academic work experience. His primary areas of teaching and research are data sciences and machine learning. He was awarded the Young Scientist Award in Computer Science by MPCST, Government of Madhya Pradesh. He has served as an Associate Professor at Goa Institute of Management (GIM, Goa) and SP Jain institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR, Mumbai), and has been invited to teach courses and deliver guest sessions at esteemed institutions like IIM Rohtak and the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. In 2020, he was honored with the title “Inside IIM Professor of the Year at GIM.” During his tenure at GIM, he held several significant roles, including Placement Chair and Chairperson of the Centre for Excellence and Research (CER).


He has been the program coordinator and trainer at many open MDPs and FDPs. He has trained senior professionals of companies such as Johnson and Johnson, Colorcon and officers of the Indian Armed Forces. Some of the courses he teaches are Business Analytics, Advance Business Analytics, Machine Learning, Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics, Data Visualization, Web and Social Media Analytics,.


He is also an accomplished researcher and has published papers in FT50/A*/A and high impact factor journals. His key areas of interest are tourism analytics, marketing analytics and social media analytics.
