Biography

Ashish holds master’s and Ph.D. from IIT Madras. Prior to Ph.D. he earned managerial experience of over seven years at one of India’s largest engineering and construction firms. He has conducted MDP sessions for multiple government and private organizations from infrastructure and other related sectors. Before moving to IIM Sirmaur, Ashish worked as a faculty at National Institute of Construction Management and Research (now NICMAR University) Pune.

Teaching and Research Interest

  • Teaching interests: Strategic Analysis and Formulation, Strategy Implementation and Control, Business Strategy, Stakeholder Strategies for Responsible Business, Managing Public Private Partnerships.
  • Research interests: Sustainability and Strategy, Stakeholder Engagement, Technology and Strategy, Sustainable Infrastructure, and Infrastructure Management.

Research and Consultancy Projects

  • Completed (with Dr. P. Sanjay) a research project titled “Green Residential Housing - Making Cost Effective & Affordable” funded by National Housing Bank.

Awards And Honours

  • Best paper award for the paper titled “Conceptualizing social sustainability and social value of construction projects: a stakeholder-based benefits management framework” presented at 3rd Annual International Conference organized by IIM Lucknow.
  • IIT Madras Institute Research Award for the quality and quantity of research publications during Ph.D.
  • L&T Endowment Award, 2007 at IIT Madras for the Best Academic Record in Master’s program.
