A 3-day management development program for the officials from Indian Metro Organizations’ Society was organized by Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur from 13th to 15th December 2023. The title of the programme was “On a fast track to Success: Leading the change in the VUCA world”. The programme saw participation from officials from metro organizations across the country, including Kochi, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Chennai, Bangalore, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.

The programme was aimed at enriching the managerial skills of the participants. Prof. Ajay Singhal, Prof. Ashish Goel, Prof. Bhanu Pratap, Manish Sarkhel, Prof. Pragya Bhawsar, Prof. Prafulla Agnihotri, Prof. P. Sanjay and Prof. Urvashi Rathod, were the faculties who facilitated the sessions. The director, IIM Sirmaur,  Prof. Prafulla Agnihotri, inaugurated the process of co-learning with the participants with a session on Developing, and Imparting Impactful Training. He also conducted sessions on Leadership Development as well as Time and Task Management. Talking about leadership, he highlighted the importance of common sense and empathy in effective leadership. Broadly the sessions were geared towards giving a fresh holistic perspective on management. Sessions included building a responsible metro organization, Communication and Customer Service, Organizational Change, Organization Design, and Structure. Sessions also allowed professionals to explore skills like Agile for C-Suite, Financial Management, Wage, Industrial Relations, and Change in Codes. Prof. Parijat Lanke and Prof. Advaita Rajendra, the program directors, concluded the program with conversations on continuous learning organisations, borrowing from popular allegories, and analogies.
