The students of IIM Sirmaur attended a guest lecture delivered by Mr. Alankar Chandra, Managing Director of Wild Voyager on 22nd October, 2017. An IIM Ahmedabad alumni, Mr. Chandra chased his passion for photography and travelling, and built a business around it. The theme of the session was to create awareness among the students about 'Entrepreneurship'. He enlightened the students on the various nitty-gritties of starting up a business. According to him, entrepreneurship is a play of one's core competency and passion plays a key role in driving the business even when profits are not there. He spoke about the various aspects involved in the inception of a venture, ranging from reducing overheads to managing finances and marketing. By encouraging the students to move from the ideation phase to clear implementation, the informative session helped the students get more clarity on entrepreneurship.
