In the context of the evolution of technology, Mr. Jain stated, Adoption time of newer technologies for the first 50 million users has been exponentially compressed, from 75 years for the telephone to 14 days for Pokemon Go! The speakers emphasized the ever-changing nature of technology, as a result of which, the status quo of the traditional methods is being continually threatened. They also made the students aware of the future trends of this digital transformation and stressed that the way forward was to rethink the existing business models so that the companies can cope with digital transformation to stay alive in the market.
