IIM Sirmaur celebrated Constitution Day of India on 26th November 2017. Constitution Day or Samvidhan Divas is celebrated every year on 26th of November to commemorate the adoption of Constitution of India.
The function at IIM Sirmaur was anchored by Aditi Priya, a first year student of Post Graduate Programme. While addressing the gathering of faculty, staff and students, Prof (Dr.) Neelu Rohmetra, Director IIM Sirmaur, highlighted the greatness of the constitution of India. She focussed on people duties and rights as a citizens. She also stressed that India diversity and integrity makes it the world largest democracy, and that upholding constitutional values is of paramount importance. She honoured and remembered the father of the Indian Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. Later, a quiz was organized where students participated and showcased their knowledge about Indian constitution, with a special focus on fundamental duties.
