Rashtriya Ekta Diwas
IM Sirmaur celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, commemorating the 143rd Birth anniversary of the iron man of India, Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The event kicked off with an ekta speech delivered by Ajin from PGP04 batch. He talked about the significance of rashtriya ekta divas and why Sardar Vallabhai Patel's birth anniversary is celebrated as a National Unity day. He also spoke about the new landmark of our country, the statue of unity which was inaugurated today by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. After the speech, the students took rashtriya ekta diwas pledge of unity to foster and reinforce our dedication to preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of our nation. The event also saw screening of a short film made by the students of arts club of IIM Sirmaur, Rangmanch, which highlighted the unity among the citizens of India and the prevailing brotherhood that unites everyone in times of highs and lows. This was followed by a graceful dance performance by the students emphasizing the oneness and bonding among the people of our country. The event concluded with the screening of the movie Sardar, a biographical drama film on the life of Sardar Vallabhai Patel.
