IIM Sirmaur celebrates 73rd Republic Day
Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur celebrated 73rd Republic Day with gaiety and fervour on 26th January 2022. The event started with a guard-of-honour to Professor (Dr.) Neelu Rohmetra, Hon’ble Director, IIM Sirmaur.
Prof. Rohmetra unfurled the flag to the melodious tunes of the national anthem and slogans in the presence of faculty and staff of IIM Sirmaur. IIM Sirmaur fraternity observed the Republic day with great passion and celebrated it in sync with patriotic spirit of ‘Azadi ka Mahotsav’. Everyone’s eyes blazed with pride and happiness with the tricolour flying high and everyone had a miniature flag pinned on their attire.
While addressing the gathering, Prof. Rohmetra congratulated the IIM Sirmaur fraternity on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day. She highlighted important aspects of good governance and leadership. She touched upon the value of ‘Unity in diversity’ and advocated commitment to purpose in the performance of duties. “We all should feel proud of being a part of a country that is known for unity in diversity. This is one of our important strengths”, she emphasized.
In her address, she recognized the contributions of IIM Sirmaur faculty and staff who have joined the institute from different parts of the country, and have chosen to work with IIM Sirmaur in Himachal Pradesh. She also talked about journey of institution building at IIM Sirmaur and the ideology set by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi which is “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas”.
Earlier, Prof. Rinki Dahiya, Convener, Event Management Committee presented a warm welcome note and shared greetings of Republic Day with the gathering.
