IIM Sirmaur Celebrated 69th Republic Day of India on 26th January 2018
26th January 1950, our Bharat became a full-fledged Republic. All countrymen and women celebrated with fervour and enthusiasm. The Republic Day is celebrated every year on January 26th to honour the day on which the Constitution of India came into effect. This year marks the 69th Republic Day of India. The Republic Day celebrations at IIM Sirmaur started with the flag hosting ceremony by Prof. (Dr.) Neelu Rohmetra, the director of IIM Sirmaur.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Neelu Rohmetra congratulated the students, staff and faculty for their endeavours in creating IIM Sirmaur as a world-class institution. She appreciated the efforts taken by faculty and staff towards the growth of the IIM Sirmaur. She also spoke on the IIM Bill that would be functional from 31st January 2018 and conveyed its importance as it will bring all the 20 IIMs in the country on a common platform. She also congratulated Hon'ble Minister of MHRD Shri Prakash Javadekar Ji for his efforts in implementing and regulating this bill. She encouraged IIM Sirmaur Family to work towards goals that are of national Importance.
On this occasion, students of IIM Sirmaur showcased their solo and group performances by songs, skits etc.
