IIM Sirmaur proudly launches its “Policy Papers” Newsletter, reaffirming our commitment to addressing environmental and societal challenges. This milestone event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Aishwarya Raj, IFS (2017), Deputy Conservator of Forests, Paonta Sahib, and Dr. Priyanshu, Professor at IIM Lucknow. Their valuable insights highlighted the efficient management of forests through initiatives like Project Elephant and the establishment of National Parks.

Swastika, an accomplished alumnus of IIM Sirmaur and the author of the newsletter, elaborated on critical themes, including the ambiguities surrounding the definition of forests, their profound environmental impact, and how these topics have been thoughtfully covered in the publication.

The institute takes immense pride in launching this student-driven initiative and looks forward to fostering similar projects that reflect the diverse interests of our community.
