Dr. S. Lianbiaklal holds a PhD in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. His doctoral research examines how social media marketing influences consumer choices, specifically through food brand engagement on social media on adolescents. His research interests lie in consumer behaviour, social media marketing, visual and linguistic persuasion. He also holds a PGDM from IIM Kashipur and a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Nagaland University.
TEACHING INTEREST: Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Brand Management, Advertising and Promotion, Marketing Analytics, Consumer Behaviour.
RESEARCH INTEREST: Social Media Marketing, Visual and Linguistic Persuasion, Role of Familial factors in children’s behaviour.
Awarded the Sethuraman NASMEI Research Grant Award of Rs. 1 lakh at the 17th Great Lakes NASMEI Marketing Conference, 2023
Awarded the Institute Research Award 2026 at IIT Madras in recognition of excellent Ph.D work.
