- Develop research scholars to become experts in their area/s through rigorous and interdisciplinary curriculum.
Curriculum Overview
PhD majorly has two components: 1) Course Work, and 2) Research. Duration for the course work for PhD Students is Two Years. After finishing their coursework, the student has to pass a Comprehensive Qualifying Examination (CQE) to enter into third year wherein students start their research journey.
Financial Support for Doctoral Students
IIM Sirmaur provides comprehensive financial and other support to the Ph.D. students as indicated below:
- PhD students get a monthly stipend along with hostel facility / or House Rent Allowance.
- Students also receive the following grants as per the policy: Start-up Grant, Contingency Grant, National Conference Grant, International Conference Grant.
