Biography

Sonakshi Gupta has a background in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management. She embarked on her academic journey at Banaras Hindu University, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Marketing). She continued her studies at the same institution, earning a Master's degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. Her passion for academia led her to the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, where she pursued the Fellow Programme in Management.

Sonakshi has served as an Assistant Professor at several institutes, namely T A Pai Management Institute in Manipal, International Management Institute in Kolkata, and Woxsen University, Hyderabad. During her tenure, she taught various courses, ranging from Human Resource Management, HR Analytics, HR metrics and dashboard Leadership, Organizational Structure and Design, Organizational Behaviour I, Cross- Cultural Management, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation.

She has taught Human Resource Management, Leadership, and Change Management in executive education programs at TAPMI and Woxsen University. Her teaching prowess is evident in the positive feedback she receives from her students.

She has also served in different capacities in institution building. At Woxsen University, she was entrusted with designing the curriculum for the MBA(Business Analytics, Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence)and BBA(Business Analytics) programs. She also served as a member of the Disciplinary Committee. At the T A Pai Management Institute, she was the Co-Chair of the Alumni Relations Committee.

Sonakshi has authored several research papers on various topics, including servant leadership, organizational cynicism and Group Consensus. Her work has been published in distinguished journals.

She received the Best Paper Award by Emerald Publishing and IIT Roorkee and the Outstanding Paper Emerald Literati Awards 2023. Her research interests include Servant Leadership, Leadership Discourse, Motivation, Sustainability, Group Formation, and Decisions. In teaching, she is passionate about HRM, HR Analytics, Industrial relations, Industrial relations and Labour law, Leadership, Organizational development and change and Cross-Cultural Management, among others.
