On 4th September, 2017, The students of the second batch of IIM Sirmaur had an interactive session with Mr. Partho Dasgupta, Chief Mentor, Reliance Industries Limited. He encouraged the students to develop a holistic approach and think beyond the pecuniary aspects of their professional life. He also emphasized the importance of unlearning and relearning in the 21st century. Reiterating Alvin Toffler, he said that todays world sees too much change in too short a period of time. The students participated enthusiastically. They inquired about the qualities that the corporates seek from young managers. Mr. Dasgupta highlighted how today's managers are primarily people-handlers and how a deep understanding of the grass-root helps them. The interactive session with Mr. Dasgupta allowed the students to have a fair understanding of the recruitment scenario across industries.
