International Immersion Programme - Ljubljana, Slovenia
2016-18 batch of PGP students at IIM Sirmaur are in Ljubljana, Slovenia for an international immersion programme jointly organized and facilitated by the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (Slovenia), IIM Lucknow and IIM Sirmaur.
The 1st Annual Convocation of Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur was held on April 8th 2017. Shri Virbhadra Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh was the Chief Guest on the occasion and delivered the Convocation Address
IIM Sirmaur congratulates Mr. Vijay Shukla, student of PGP (2015-17) batch for bagging the first position in StockMIND Season 5, organized by ICICI Centre for Financial Learning. The student has won prize money worth Rs. 1 lakh and a Thailand trip.
The Post Graduate Programme in Management is a two-year, full time residential programme. The first year coursework is spread over three terms. It comprises core courses that explain the fundamentals concepts of management across the different functional areas. The courses in the first year curriculum are mandatory for all the students. The first year coursework is followed by a summer internship. During the summer internship, students will be required to work on an industry project with an organization for a period of eight to ten weeks. The summer placement is an integral part of the Post-Graduate Programme. The Placement Office will assist the students in finding suitable summer assignments.
The second year coursework is spread over the next three terms (Term IV to Term VI). The second year students are offered elective courses across different functional areas such as marketing, finance, and economics. The students can opt for elective courses based on their preferences, insofar as they fulfill the minimum credit requirements for the programme. The participants who successfully fulfill all the requirements of the programme are awarded the 'Post-graduate Diploma in Management'.
