International Immersion Programme - Ljubljana, Slovenia
2016-18 batch of PGP students at IIM Sirmaur are in Ljubljana, Slovenia for an international immersion programme jointly organized and facilitated by the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (Slovenia), IIM Lucknow and IIM Sirmaur.
The 1st Annual Convocation of Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur was held on April 8th 2017. Shri Virbhadra Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh was the Chief Guest on the occasion and delivered the Convocation Address
IIM Sirmaur congratulates Mr. Vijay Shukla, student of PGP (2015-17) batch for bagging the first position in StockMIND Season 5, organized by ICICI Centre for Financial Learning. The student has won prize money worth Rs. 1 lakh and a Thailand trip.
Prof. Ashok Ogra, Director, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication also interacted with students and shared his views on the theme: “Trends and forces shaping the world”. Prof. Ogra deliberated on innovation and how it has influenced the life style, the psyche and the buying habits of the people all over the world.
Lt. Gen. Kochhar laid stress on the importance of communication and negotiation skills, and the need to maintain work-life balance. He advised the students to work with empathy and to learn to dig deep.
Initiation of the third Batch of IIM Sirmaur into the world of business management began with Mr. Prabhakar Tiwari, an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and Founder and CEO of The MargDarshak Inc, delivering a lecture on 'Technology & Management in a VUCA world'
Mr. Rajesh Kumar, AGM (HRDC), BHEL interacted with the students of IIM Sirmaur and offered an insight into the inside-out approach of leading. Citing examples from his own organization, he revealed that young employees in modern organizations do not prefer to be micro-managed.
IIM Sirmaur family joined the nation in celebrating the 71st Independence Day of India. The day that started with the unfurling of the tricolour by Prof. (Dr.) Neelu Rohmetra, Director, IIM Sirmaur, was followed by the singing of the national anthem.
What are the fees for PGP at IIM Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh?
The tuition fees for IIM Sirmaur shall be Rs 10.34 lakhs for two years. In addition, the student has to pay Rs. 1,00,000/- in each term (up to fourth term) for the International Immersion Programme and in the event the Immersion programme is not conducted, the cost of fee charged for the immersion programme activity shall be adjusted against the term fee. Exact amount and details of breakup will be given in the admission offer.
How long will IIML mentor IIM Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh?
IIM Lucknow has in the past successfully mentored IIM Rohtak and Kashipur and would be providing similar support to IIM Sirmaur till the time IIM Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh is able to handle these activities entirely on its own.
Who will be teaching at IIM Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh? Has it recruited good faculty members?
IIM Sirmaur is in the process of recruiting faculty members in different areas. The current faculty members have excellent research & teaching credentials and they hold doctorate degrees from leading IITs and IIMs.
During the mentorship period, the faculty members from IIM Lucknow will also be delivering courses at IIM Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. The overall design, quality and delivery of Post-Graduate Programme will be to the standards and with direct involvement of IIM Lucknow.
How much do I have to pay while confirming my admission?
The amount is Rs. 50,000. This amount will be adjusted against payment of tuition fees in the future. If the person does not actually join the institute, only Rs 1000 will be retained as per GOI guidelines. Details of exact amount and mode of payment will be sent with the offer of admission.
The Post Graduate Programme in Management at IIM Sirmaur is a fully residential programme and each student would be required to stay in the rooms in the hostel provided at IIM Sirmaur.
The temporary campus of IIM Sirmaur is located at Himachal Institute of Technology, Near Dental College, Rampur Ghat Road, Paonta Sahib, Distt Sirmaur, H.P – 173025. The temporary campus consists of the academic block (i.e. class rooms, library and computer centre), administrative block (i.e. offices) and the residential block (i.e. hostels)
All students would be provided rooms with basic furnishings. The student mess inside the campus would cater to meal requirements of the students.
