Dr. Shrawan is an assistant professor of IT & Systems at Indian Institute of Management, Sirmaur. He received his Fellow (FPM) in the area of Information Systems from Indian Institute of Management Indore. During his FPM, he worked on the study on email spam classification using machine learning techniques where he developed some improved and novel machine learning algorithms for spam classification. Prior to FPM, he did M.Tech. in the area of Information Technology from Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad, M.Sc. in the area of Electronics from University Institute of Technology, C.S.J.M. University Kanpur and B.Sc. (PCM) from C.S.J.M. University Kanpur. Before joining IIM Sirmaur, he worked at BML Munjal University Gurgaon as assistant professor of Information Systems and Business Analytics at the School of Management.
His Teaching interest includes Management Information Systems, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Enterprise Resource Planning, Organisational reporting (COGNOS BI), Sentiment Analysis (IBM Watson, R), Database and Data warehousing, Machine Learning etc. He has a rich knowledge on the software tools like SPSS, MATLAB Simulations, R, WEKA Clementine, IBM Info sphere, IBM Watson, IBM COGNOS, IBM TM and some other business analytics tools.
